Welcome to the Burton Manor Karate Kan Website

Burton Manor Karate Kan is part of Burton Manor Sports Association (BMSA) and has its own purpose built Dojo.  The Dojo is shared with Judo and Iaido (Japanese Art of Drawing the sword) both of which are part of BMSA.

Karate is for everyone - men, women and children; old or young; active or not.  Children can benefit from the self-discipline.  The skills acquired will improve their self confidence and character.

The training is non-competitive.  Older people have gained their Black Belts after 60 years of age and have practiced the art into their 80's.

All students receive the same training, although naturally the instructor will not demand the same level of endurance.

The instructor only expects the best you can achieve; there is no competition with anyone else in the lesson.  You can adjust your training to suit your own stamina and abilities, but the harder you train the more you will benefit.

The club has toilets and changing facilities on site, a spectating area and a family friendly social bar where members are able to meet and have a drink after training.
